Gardena police Friday were looking for a missing 17-year-old boy who authorities say has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old.
Ricardo Littles left his home without permission on Wednesday night, said Gardena police Lt. Christopher Cuff.
The teen was seen on security video leaving his home wearing a red-and-black long-sleeve jean jacket, a black hat and white shoes, Cuff said. He also had a black backpack with “And One” printed on the back.
“Ricardo has medical conditions which require daily medication,” Cuff said. “Ricardo walks with a limp and has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old. (He) can make decisions on his own but has a speech impediment. Ricardo does not have family in the area and does not know his way back home.”
