A rescue helicopter pulled three hikers off a trail in Box Canyon after one of had fallen ill Saturday.
The rescue occurred around 2:15 p.m.
A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter was used to extract the three hikers.
After being flown off the trail, the ill hiker was taken to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The condition of the hiker was not immediately available.
