A woman’s body was found floating in the water off Queensway Bay in Long Beach Wednesday, prompting a police investigation.
Long Beach Police Department officers responded about 9:50 a.m. to the 1000 block of Queens Way Drive, near Harry Bridges Memorial Park, on reports of the body and found that a group of civilians had pulled the body from the water, police said.
The woman’s name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin. It was not immediately known how she died nor how long she had been in the water.
