An East Hemet resident was discovered dead at home Tuesday, but authorities said there were no immediate indications of foul play.
The resident, whose identity was not disclosed, including gender, was found shortly after 1 p.m. at a property in the 43800 block of Mandarin Drive, west of Fairview Avenue, about a mile from Simpson Park, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The agency said patrol deputies were sent to the location after loved ones requested a “welfare check,” at which point the victim was confirmed dead in the single-story house.
“There were no signs of foul play at the location,” Sgt. Robert Martinez told City News Service.
He said the matter was turned over to detectives and coroner’s office personnel.
There was no word on what might have caused the person’s death.
