A 21-year-old woman was found shot to death today in a Long Beach alley.
Shortly after 1 a.m., a caller reported hearing gunshots in an alley in the 1100 block of East 21st Street, according to Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department. Officers dispatched to the scene found a woman with a gunshot wound to the upper body, she said.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene, she said. She was later identified as Alicia Faith Todd of Signal Hill, police said.
According to police, the person who called to report the shooting actually heard the gunfire around midnight, but did not call police until finding the woman’s body.
