A 23-year-old motorcyclist from Yorba Linda was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision in Placentia.
Officers responded at approximately 12:30 p.m. to the area of Imperial Highway and Rose Drive to reports regarding a collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle, according to the Placentia Police Department.
Responding officers located the 23-year-old motorcyclist of in the roadway with traumatic injuries upon arrival.
Placentia Fire and Life Safety personnel also responded to the location, where they provided medical aid to the man, but despite those efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unidentified driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives during their investigation, police said. Detectives did not determine alcohol or drugs as factors leading up to the collision.
