The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Friday for the 39th consecutive day and the 40th time in 41 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.574, its lowest amount since April 29.
The average price has dropped 44.2 cents over the past 41 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4.6 cents less than one week ago, 36 cents lower than one month ago and 57.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 41st consecutive day Friday, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.506, its lowest amount since April 27. It is 4.4 cents less than one week ago, 39.9 cents lower than one month ago and 63.8 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 49.7 cents over the past 41 days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Thursday.
