A man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon was taken into custody Wednesday after barricading inside a Temple City residence for several hours.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies first responded to the residence located in the 10700 block of Fairview Avenue, near the city’s border with Arcadia, at about 10:35 a.m., though further details on the call were not immediately available.
Surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution as Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau and Crisis Negotiation Team units were called to the scene.
The department announced about 5:25 p.m. that the man was taken into custody, but no further details were released.
