The 13-day streak of increases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County ended Friday with a decrease of three-tenths of a cent to $5.30.
The average price increased 17.5 cents during the streak, including 1.1 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.9 cents more than one week ago, 5.4 cents higher than one month ago and 99 cents greater than one year ago.
The average price is $1.03 less than the record $6.33 set June 14.
The national average price dropped for the 94th consecutive day since rising to a record, falling six-tenths of a cent to $3.692. It has dropped $1.324 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14.
The national average price is 4.6 cents less than one week ago and 25.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 50.1 cents more than one year ago.
