A man was arrested after barricading himself inside his Pomona home Monday, which led to a large police presence and the shutdown of surrounding streets, according to police.
The Pomona Police Department said officers responded to the 600 block of N Reservoir Street to a call made by a woman who reported being concerned for her friend’s wellbeing around 4:15 a.m. on Monday.
According to authorities, the man was barricaded with a woman inside, who was later rescued by officers.
The relationship between the man and woman was unknown.
Pomona PD reported the man was taken into custody without incident around 11:35 a.m.
Several surrounding streets were closed to traffic as police advised residents to avoid the area.
No injuries were reported.
