Detectives began an investigation Friday into a shooting in Westmont that left one man wounded.
Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a gunshot that rang out at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday from an apartment on South Wilton Place at West 102nd Street, Lieutenant L. Loughlin of the South Los Angeles Station told City News Service.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs.
Deputies were investigating whether the gunshot wound was accidental or there were suspects involved, Loughlin said.
Additional details were not released by the department because of the ongoing investigation.
