The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the sixth consecutive day, increasing 2.6 cents to $4.85, one day after rising 1.9 cents.

The average price has risen 5.7 cents over the past six days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The increases follow a run of four decreases in six days totaling 1.8 cents.

The average price is 5.3 cents more than one week ago, 27 cents higher than one month ago and seven-tenths of a cent greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.644 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose 2.7 cents to $4.822, one day after increasing 2.1 cents. It has risen four times in five days, increasing 8 cents following a run of six decreases in eight days totaling 2.5 cents.

The Orange County average price is 7.3 cents more than one week ago, 31.2 cents higher than one month ago and 1.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.637 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 2.5 cents to $3.319, the fourth consecutive increase following a run of eight decreases in nine days totaling 2.2 cents. It has risen 5.7 cents over the past four days, including 2.3 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is 4.9 cents more than one week ago and 21.2 cents higher than one month ago but 3.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.697 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
