A vehicle being chased by police Wednesday in the South Los Angeles area struck and killed a person, and the motorist was taken into custody, according to authorities and reports from the scene.
The crash occurred about 6:10 a.m. following a brief pursuit that led to Hooper Avenue and 46th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The vehicle struck and killed a person and then crashed about a block away, according to Fox 11. It was unclear why police were chasing the vehicle.
