Two people killed in a two-vehicle crash in Palmdale were identified Monday.

The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of Avenue N and 10th Street West, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station.

“A black Lexus LS400 was driving south on 10th Street West at an unknown rate of speed and a white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was driving east on Avenue N at an unknown rate of speed,” according to an LASD statement. “Both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously and crashed with each other. Both drivers were pronounced deceased on scene.”

The Los Angeles County medical examiner on Monday identified one of the victims as Aiden Marroquin, a 17-year-old who sustained multiple blunt-force traumatic injuries. The second victim was identified as 21-year-old Hugo Calderon, who also sustained multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.

Four other people were taken to hospitals from the crash scene, but their conditions were not immediately available.
