A 36-year-old man from Nevada was charged Thursday with pimping an underage girl in Anaheim.

Marcus Anthony Boyd was charged with human trafficking of a minor, pandering a minor younger than 16, and possession of a gun silencer, all felonies. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of leading police on a chase and resisting arrest.

An investigator with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force received an email Tuesday about a potential runaway girl from Las Vegas, police said in court documents.

An undercover investigator set up a meeting with the victim through an ad for prostitution, police said.

The girl was seen leaving a residence in Stanton and got into a car driven by Boyd, who was taking her to a motel in Anaheim, police said.

Investigators detained the girl and when officers attempted to pull Boyd over he led them on a chase to a dead-end street, where he jumped out and tried to run away, according to authorities.

The victim told police Boyd was pimping her and that she had “lost count how many times he has physically assaulted her,” according to police.
