A 54-year-old motorist was killed Friday in a crash at a San Jacinto intersection, though the circumstances remained unclear.
Alex Mancia Caceres of Hemet was fatally injured shortly after 2 a.m. Friday at the Ramona Expressway and Seventh Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Daniel Chico said patrol deputies and paramedics were called to the location after passing motorists encountered the victim’s wrecked vehicle.
Chico said Caceres was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
There was no immediate indication of how the crash occurred. The area is largely industrial, situated adjacent to a dry wash just west of the Soboba Reservation.
