Firefighters put out flames Saturday in a home behind another house, near a church in the Historic South-Central area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 4:08 p.m. Saturday in a house in the 500 block of East 35th Street, between Trinity and San Pedro streets, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
The single-story house was behind a two-story house and next to a church, Stewart said.
It took 46 firefighters just over 20 minutes to put out the flames, containing them to the single-story house and protecting the church, she said.
No injuries were reported.
The LADWP was notified of downed power lines as a result of the fire, Stewart said.
