Police were continuing their search Wednesday for a man suspected of stealing a high-end classic Corvette and asked for the public’s help.
The theft occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 at a parking garage in the 12200 block of West Olympic Boulevard in West Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect entered an underground parking garage in the building, opened the unlocked blue two-door 1958 Chevrolet Corvette and drove off, the department said.
Police described the suspect as a White man between 25 to 30-years old, weighing between 170 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, dark shorts, gray-white shoes, with a black backpack and carrying a skateboard.
The corvette was valued at least a few hundred thousand dollars and had a Rhode Island license plate that read 1KJ358, police said.
Authorities urged anyone with information regarding the theft to contact the LAPD.
