A person was detained Tuesday on suspicion of intentionally staring a small brush fire in the hills above Burbank that led to some voluntary evacuations.
The fire was reported late Tuesday morning near Sunset Canyon and Orange Grove Drive, according to the Burbank Police Department.
“One person has been detained in connection with this fire on suspicion of deliberately setting it.” police said in a statement on X.
“The fire has burned less than five acres and is not yet fully contained,” the statement said. “LA City Fire Air Support is assisting.”
