A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with a vehicle in Garden Grove, authorities said Thursday.

The crash between a Yamaha motorcycle and an Audi sedan happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday, in the 12000 Block of Euclid Street near Chapman Avenue and north of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

Responding officers found the motorcylist unresponsive, and paramedics later pronounced him deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.

The two drivers involved in the collision were only described as a 36-year-old male resident of Anaheim and a 34-year-old Garden Grove man. But police did not say which of the men was the deceased.

The cause of the collision was under investigation and it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol factored into the crash.

Anyone with information regarding the collision was asked to contact Investigator Yergler at 714-741-5772 or Johny@ggpd.org.
