A 26-year-old woman who was fatally struck by two hit-and-run drivers in North Hollywood was identified Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Ravenna Leyva of Sylmar. Leyva was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

Officers were called to the 11700 block of Victory Boulevard, near Colfax Avenue, just east of Van Nuys, at 9:40 p.m. Friday regarding a pedestrian versus vehicle collision, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. They learned a vehicle traveling west on Victory struck the victim and drove away from the scene, an LAPD officer told City News Service.

A second vehicle traveling in the same direction struck the same victim and also drove away without stopping to render aid, police said.

The first vehicle was only identified as a sedan, and the second vehicle was described as a light blue or gray 2003 Toyota 4 Runner.
