One person was displaced from a home due to an attic fire caused by “overheated household wiring,” authorities said.

Crews responded to a structure fire shortly after 1 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Douglas Avenue, according to the Riverside Fire Department.

Three engines and 15 firefighters arrived at the scene and reported light smoke arising from the attic vents, Battalion Chief Mike Allen said.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, and remained at the scene to ensure any hazards were mitigated.

No injuries were reported.
