A Feather Alert that was issued for a missing 14-year-old Native American girl from Murrieta was canceled Saturday after she was found safe.

The Murrieta Police Department reported Brooklyn Salvesen was located Saturday afternoon, but the circumstances of her being found were not disclosed.

She had last been seen Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. in the area of Nighthawk Way and Washington Avenue in Murrieta, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Alerts with the Feather designation are activated when a missing party is indigenous, though Salvesen’s tribal affiliation was not specified.
