The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose 2.1 cents Sunday to $4.518, its highest amount since Aug. 5.
The average price has increased 11 times in the last 12 days. It is 13 cents more than one week ago and 19.2 cents higher than one month ago, but 7.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It has dropped $1.855 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.136. It is 3.8 cents more than one week ago and 6.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 3 cents less than a year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.88 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
