Fire damaged the kitchen of an apartment in the Metro complex in Riverside Tuesday, displacing three residents.
The fire was reported at 1:06 a.m. at 3600 Banbury Dr., according to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Richmond.
“Fire department crews arrived on scene and found a fire in the kitchen area and residents evacuated after being alerted by smoke detectors,” Richmond said.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire at 1:26 a.m. and made sure it didn’t spread to the attic or adjacent apartments, he said.
No injuries were reported.
