A 19-year-old man was charged Thursday with fatally shooting a man last week in Anaheim.
Lawrence Romero of Orange was charged with murder and shooting at a vehicle, both felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for discharge of a gun causing death.
Romero is accused of killing 32-year-old Anthony Aceves Espino of Anaheim, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Matt Sutter.
Police were called about 6 p.m. Thursday to Ball Road west of Sunkist Avenue to check on the driver of a car who appeared to have passed out, Sutter said. Espino was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived, Sutter said.
A possible motive for the killing was not immediately released.
