Authorities Monday identified a pedestrian who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Hollywood.
Erika Edwards, 36, of Van Nuys died at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 9:03 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Boulevard and Sierra Bonita Avenue, according to the county Medical Examiner’s office.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the vehicle was heading east on Sunset Boulevard when it hit the woman, who was crossing southbound on Sierra Bonita Avenue outside the crosswalk.
The motorist fled south on Gardner Street in a blue Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV, LAPD Officer David Cuellar said.
