A suspect was wounded in a shooting involving at least one Orange County sheriff’s deputy Friday in Lake Forest.
The gunfire was reported about 3:50 a.m. near the 21000 block of Rimgate Drive in Lake Forest, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The shooting occurred following a disturbance at a home in Rancho Mission Viejo, where the suspect allegedly brandished a weapon, according to the department.
Deputies located the suspect in Lake Forest and that’s when the man was shot, according to a department spokesman, who declined to give the suspect’s age.
No deputies were injured.
The suspect was in critical condition and taken to a hospital, according to the sheriff’s department.
