A fire broke out Wednesday in a detached garage in Arlington Heights, and firefighters extinguished the flames before they could spread to a nearby structure.
The fire in the 1600 block of South Norton Avenue was reported at 9:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The garage was “well involved with fire and exposing a neighboring structure,” LAFD spokesperson Lyndsey Lantz said.
The fire was declared out by 9:39 a.m., and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews were called to handle downed power lines.
