A major emergency fire involving several commercial buildings broke out in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles Saturday.

Firefighters responded at 4:51 a.m. Saturday to 2311 W. Southwest Drive, south of Hyde Park Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Some 119 firefighters battled the flames in a row of commercial buildings. A partial roof collapse began approximately 30 minutes into the incident, and the fire was knocked down in one hour and 19 minutes, according to the department.

No injuries were reported.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was contacted regarding a series of downed wires. Crews were expected to remain at the scene for extensive overhaul operations, including LAFD heavy equipment crews and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
