A $25,000 reward was offered Thursday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the car-to- car shooting deaths of a young man and his mother in Carson last weekend.
Jordan Love, 27, and Michele Kelly-Love, 54, were shot just before midnight Saturday as they sat in a car in the driveway of a home in the 19500 block of Tillman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Jordan Love’s grandmother, who was in the back seat, was not harmed.
Michelle Kelly-Love died in the vehicle. Her son got out of the car and made it to the lawn, where he collapsed and died.
The reward was approved by the Carson City Council.
Kelly-Love was the mother of three children and Jordan Love had an infant daughter, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
A motive for the killings remains unknown, authorities said.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives plan to discuss the case at a news conference at 10 a.m. Friday at Carson City Hall. Carson Mayor Lula Davis- Holmes is expected to attend.
