The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.828.
The average price has dropped 5.9 cents over the past seven days, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The seven consecutive decreases follow a 12-day streak of increases totaling 26.4 cents that boosted the average price to its highest amount since April 10
The average price is 13.7 cents more than one month ago and 36.2 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.665 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also dropped for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.770. It has dropped 8.4 cents over the past seven days, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The Orange County average price is 10.8 cents more than one month ago and 39.6 cents higher than one year ago. . It has dropped $1.688 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The 11-day streak of increases totaling 28.6 cents that boosted the Orange County average price to its highest amount since April 9 ended last Monday when it was unchanged.
The national average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.073 after back-to-back decreases of four-tenths of a cent. It is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 2.2 cents higher than one month ago and one-tenth of a cent greater than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.943 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
