A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for pimping a 17-year-old runaway in Anaheim.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies on patrol June 11 at Garza Avenue and Pacific Place in an unincorporated area bordering Anaheim encountered Anthony Romeo Diaz with two victims in the backseat of the car he was driving, investigators said in court papers.
The deputies found evidence of prostitution in the vehicle and questioned the two victims, investigators said.
Diaz pleaded guilty to two counts each of pimping and pandering, all felonies. As part of the plea deal single counts each of human trafficking of a minor and pandering with a minor older than 16 were dismissed.
