Authorities Monday were investigating the death of a 73-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Hacienda Heights.
The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a call at 5:20 p.m. Sunday regarding a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Gale and Valencia avenues.
According to the county Medical Examiner’s office, Hongying Weng was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eastbound traffic was blocked for the investigation.
No arrests were immediately made after the fatal crash. according to the CHP.
