A boarded-up house in the Vermont Square neighborhood went up in flames Monday.
The fire was reported at 4:55 a.m. at 1658 W. 45th St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Departments Lyndsey Lantz.
“Firefighters coordinated forcible entry, fire attack, and roof operations to extinguish all active flames in 24 minutes with 43 firefighters working,” Lantz said.
Firefighters found no one inside the house when they searched for occupants and no injuries were reported, she said.
