A reported threat prompted a lockdown Thursday at a high school in Woodland Hills, but authorities later determined it was not credible.

The threat was received Thursday morning at El Camino Real Charter High School in the 5400 block of Valley Circle Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles School Police Department.

“As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown while officers conducted a safety sweep of the campus,” according to police. “All threats are taken seriously and are investigated by the school in collaboration with local and federal law enforcement partners. The threat was deemed not credible, and the investigation remains active.”

The high school is independent from the Los Angeles Unified School District.
