A 57-year-old man suspected of molesting and sexually assaulting juvenile victims in a span of 10 years has been taken into custody, authorities announced Thursday.
Napoleon Cerda was taken into custody on Friday in the 30000 block of Auld Road without incident and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of multiple offenses related to lewd acts with a child, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station, assisted by the Department of Public Social Services, began investigating allegations last month involving child molestation and sexual assault by a foster or adopted father of two juveniles.
The investigation into the allegations remains ongoing, and investigators said they believe there may be additional victims.
