Westminster police Wednesday were investigating the cause of a collision that killed a pedestrian.
Police were called to the collision at about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday on Springdale Street just south of Westminster Boulevard. The victim was identified as 66-year-old Bobby Callum, who was transient, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
Callum was rushed to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Callum remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators, who do not suspect the driver was impaired at the time, police said.
