An investigation was continuing Friday into a stabbing in Mecca that left a person critically injured.
The attack was reported shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday in the 91000 block of Second Street, according to Lt. Deirdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Arriving deputies found a person with injuries consistent with a stab wound, Vickers said. The individual, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No arrests were made, and no further information was immediately available.
