The 2025 remake of “War Of The Worlds,” a science-fiction adaptation of H.G. Wells’ classic novel released on Amazon Prime, topped the 46th Razzie Awards Friday with five “wins,” including worst picture.
The film also earned Razzies for worst actor for Ice Cube, who starred in the alien-invasion thriller, along with worst director for Rich Lee and worst screenplay for writers Kenny Golde and Marc Hyman. It also received the award for worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel.
Rebel Wilson was named worst actress for her performance in “Bride Hard,” an action-comedy about a secret agent who becomes entangled in a violent plot during a destination wedding.
Scarlet Rose Stallone received the Razzie for worst supporting actress for “Gunslingers,” a modern Western-style film featuring a group of rival outlaws and bounty hunters.
Disney’s 2025 remake of the animated classic “Snow White” picked up two awards — worst supporting actor, credited collectively to the film’s seven artificial dwarfs, and worst screen combo for the same group.
The Razzie Redeemer Award, which recognizes performers who rebound from previous Razzie nominations, went to Kate Hudson for her performance in “Song Sung Blue,” a musical drama about a Neil Diamond tribute act.
Hudson had previously received Razzie nominations for films including “Music,” “Mother’s Day” and “My Best Friend’s Girl,” following her Academy Award-nominated role in “Almost Famous.”
The Razzies, highlighting what are deemed the worst films and performances of the past year, are voted on by more than 1,200 members of the Golden Raspberry Foundation from all 50 states and more than two dozen countries, according to organizers.
