A 40-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a freeway exchange in Sherman Oaks before sunrise Wednesday.
The crash was reported at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday on the transition road from the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Sacramento Hernandez.
The CHP closed one lane each of Ventura and San Diego freeways while they investigated the cause of the crash.
