Firefighters knocked down a fire in a one-story commercial building in Northridge within 30 minutes Wednesday evening with no injuries reported.

Fire crews responded around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday to the 8600 block of Lindley Avenue, between Chase and Parthenia streets, where a 25-foot-by-50-foot structure was burning with visible smoke, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.

Middleton said firefighters took an offensive approach to battle the blaze.

Details about what may have sparked the fire were not provided.
