Firefighters knocked down a garage fire attached to a townhouse in Irvine, authorities said Saturday.
They were dispatched at 8:32 p.m. Friday to the 10 block of Palos and achieved a “rapid knockdown,” an Orange County Fire Authority public information officer reported.
“Firefighters made a rapid attack on the blaze, quickly knocking down the fire and preventing it from spreading further,” according to a news statement. “The quick actions saved the adjacent units and the majority of the interior of the affected home.”
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
