Lanes will be closed on the Golden State (5) Freeway in both directions this week, starting Monday evening, for overnight road work.
According to Caltrans, the closures will take place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
One lane of the north- and southbound 5 may be closed at the Lake Hughes Road overcrossing, according to Caltrans, which stated the closures are part of a project to replace concrete slabs, upgrade drainage systems and guardrails, repair and stabilize slopes through rock scaling, install geogrid, and construction of a retaining wall.
The project began in April 2022, according to the transportation agency.
