A 32-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Hollywood Boulevard as people strolled the Walk of Fame, authorities said Monday.
The fatal crash occurred at 10:56 p.m. Sunday on Hollywood Boulevard at Cherokee Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was in a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle, the officer said.
The woman driving the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of DUI, he said.
Video from the scene showed paramedics attempting to save the victim with CPR before his body was covered with a sheet and a white canopy was moved into place.
A heavily damaged white SUV or sedan was shown at the scene.
