A 19-year-old man suspected of an armed robbery in Culver City has been taken into custody with the assistance of an automated license plate reader, police announced Monday.
Officers responded on March 3 to the 5700 block of Washington Boulevard, near Fairfax Avenue, to reports of an armed robbery, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The suspect, identified as Jasahn James-Bacon McCluster, was later observed by officers on Thursday entering a vehicle matching the vehicle used during the robbery, prompting the officers to conduct a high-risk traffic stop.
MuCluster was arrested and booked at the Culver City Police Department jail on suspicion of robbery.
Information from the use of automated license plate reader led detectives to identify McCluster and find him in the San Fernando Valley, police said.
