A woman was injured in a two-alarm, residential fire Tuesday in Tustin.

Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority were called at around 1 a.m. Tuesday to the 13000 block of Marshall Lane and Fairhaven Avenue near the Garden Grove (55) Freeway regarding reports of a fire, Capt. Greg Barta told City News Service.

Fire crews worked around three vehicles parked in front of the building as intense flames leaped through the roof, which at some point collapsed.

The fire threatened three nearby buildings, so fire crews took a defensive position in front of the residence to prevent the flames from extending to them.

“We put firefighters to the left of the structure, to the right of the structure and to the rear with hose lines to prevent that spread,” Barta said

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, Barta added.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
