A private school in Hancock Park was locked down Friday following a telephoned threat, but the students were eventually released.
Officers responded to Marlborough School at about 1:10 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Rossmore Avenue after the school received a phone threat, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The school was placed on lockdown, but it was lifted at approximately 4 p.m., and students were dismissed from campus.
As of 5 p.m., LAPD spokesman Officer Miller told City News Service detectives were continuing an investigation at the scene.
Details about the threat or what was allegedly conveyed to staff were not disclosed.
According to Miller, the threat did not appear to be a “swatting” call, but no other details were immediately available.
