Orange County Fire Authority firefighters worked Saturday to put out a fire in vegetation on a San Clemente hillside.
The fire was reported at 3:14 p.m. Saturday and the OCFA reported at 4:15 p.m. that firefighters had stopped its forward progress.
The size of the blaze was initially described as a quarter-acre in the area of Avenida La Pata and Calle Amanecer, the OCFA stated.
“No structures damaged and no injuries reported. OCFA Unmanned Aerial System (drone) will assist firefighters extinguishing hot spots,” the OCFA posted on X.
The area may be frequented by e-bike and motorized bike riders, according to posts by people who apparently live in the area.
