A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a Tesla Cybertruck Friday in Fullerton.
Officers responded at approximately 3:27 p.m. Friday near the intersection of West Orangethorpe Avenue and South Gilbert Street regarding a collision involving an injured motorcyclist, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
A preliminary investigation revealed to the officers that a man riding a brown Honda Navi motorcycle was in the middle of the intersection, eastbound on Orangethorpe Avenue, while a Tesla Cybertruck was traveling westbound, attempting a turn southbound onto Gilbert, Street causing the motorcyclist to collide with the side of the Tesla, police said.
Fullerton Fire Department personnel arrived at the location and took the man to a hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
It has not been determined if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The victim’s name was being withheld by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office pending notification of relatives.
